I have been trying to print CD covers using Kover.
If I set Kover options to "Print all on one page", printing starts half way down the page. So it prints the front cover and the rear cover only gets half printed. If I set the options to "Print inlet and booklet", although the printer driver is set to print landscape, it prints in portrait. So most of the cover is printed off the paper.
I am using SuSE8.1 with cups.
Have you tried to print anything else in landscape mode on Cups? THere is a known bug in cups and landscape printing. See http://sdb.suse.de/sdb/en/html/jsmeix_print-cups-landscape-81.html
If the solutions there don't work you could try a new experimental version of Cups. Please read the following carefully. http://sdb.suse.de/sdb/en/html/jsmeix_print-cups-testversion-81.html
I have had no problems with this version but you may not so lucky.
Hello Graham.
I have downloaded and installed the new CUPS-test version, and landscape printing is now working.
When printing Kover all on one page, it still starts printing half way down the page. I was hoping the new CUPS would cure that problem as well.
Just tried using kover - Same problem suppect it is probably a bug. If you select "print inlet & booklet" it prints OK on two pages.
Thanks, Graham, for trying Kover. As you say, it's probably a bug somewhere. However, as it now prints on two pages, there's no problem printing a CD cover. Cheers Keith
