I just got a one of these things. How do i go about mounting it ans setting it up?
mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/compactflash (replace with whatever mount point you have set up).
That doesn't work. Here is what happens.
gizmo:/ # mount -t vfat /dev/sdc1 /mnt mount: /dev/sdc1 is not a valid block device
I have a scsi disk for sda1 and sdb1. Do i have to upgrade from 8.0 to 8.1 for this to work?
This is what happens when i unplug and replug in
usb.c: USB disconnect on device 6 hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/2, assigned device number 7 usb.c: USB device 7 (vend/prod 0x781/0x810) is not claimed by any active driver.
This last line means the hotplug system doesn't know what driver (module) the device needs/uses. Either, you need to (get and) install/setup the module, or it's not supported as a usb-mass-starage device. Dylan
Thanks for the help.
