2. The sound is working fine, but if I suspend the laptop, it is gone. I can get it back with alsaconf (and possibly by restarting the computer, but I did not try that), but does anybody know why the sound disappears, and knows how to prohibit it from disapprearing or a better way to get it back?
Some sound systems have to be stopped before suspending the machine, and then restored on wakeup. The apmd should take care of that. In file "/etc/sysconfig/powermanagement" try to set this to yes: # Default: "no" possible values: "alsa", "oss", "kernel" APMD_STOP_SOUND_BEFORE_SUSPEND="no" -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
