Adding Cups printer to NT

Using SuSE 8.0 on a small network I have successfully installed a Lexmark Optra R+ laser to LPT1 and can print from various linux applications OK. I have Samba 2.2.3a installed and can mount NTshares on the linux machines. I have use the add printer wizard and installed the Cups printer on the NTbox with appropriate drivers. Selecting properties to print a test page I get a rejection "access is denied" or a message unable to start print job. Any advice to resolve this would be appreciated.
