I installed SUSE 8.1. After the installation I could not mount CD or
DVD. I solved this problem as described in
http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/81_ide-scsi.html.
Later on I wanted to install further packages. However, "Install or
remove software" in YaST2 did not work, since the DVD pointed to the
wrong device (Why?!). Then I went to "Change source of installation",
deleted the DVD entry and wanted to create a new entry. However, YaST2
denied the creation of a new entry with
Error
Unable to create installation source
from URL 'dvd:///'.
Details:
ERROR(Media:mount failed)
Has anybody seen this before? How can I correctly configure the source
of installation (manually or in YaST2)?
thx
Adrian
