first let me say that I am starting over from scratch , it seems but just got
the new wireless card mentioned below ( hence the inclusion of that info .. AND
, I'm no trying to make it sysnc on my 8.1 desktop ( which *should* do it our
of the box, IIRC )

But , I seem to only have a "blinking" card now, tho it can't web surf, nor
even surf thru the files on the box it used to sync to ( qtopia 1.6 -ish
release, the first that actually installed a usueable set of files <G>) problem
, now, even w/ my formerly happy ethernet card , I can't sync to qtopia... ( it
just never ends does it?<g>) However, my squirly chinese card reader now works,
so I can actually back up and exchange files really well on that.

When I was having problems getting anything useful ( like a sync w/ the desktop
) I decided to borrow a windows XP (UGH!) pc and use the install disk that came
w/ the thing.. I thought maybe it would upload some sort of configuration info
to the Z.. but that was a thought wasted as nothing happened at all , tho a
number of cab files were loaded onto the windows /programfiles/netgeer
directory .. still no luck

any other ideas ? OR any idea how to convince 8.1 to sync happily w/ the
ethernet card as it was doing ?? ( so far as I know, only the addition of the
files and addresses for the wirelss card have changed I.E. from blank to a
value , that ought not make any difference, but ???? Friday , when I show up in
person, as it were, I'll delete all the wireless info and see what I can get
...  Tomorrow I gotta do serous chef duty... "oui chef", and so forth ... much
cooking and prep work still to get done tonight w/ some serious food prep and
then tomorrow, much more as well on one of the two only days I actually do that
for real any more..

Funny how "oui chef" means only me tho , isn't it? "We" (Phoneticaly) , of
course, has nothing at all to do w/ actual cooking <VBG>

well , hell , go ahead and join in , as far as I know there's no "sign in" slip
at the door ... or just enjoy your own version of a restful (?) weekend..
