Does anybody know how to get a packard bell radiocard working?
I tried kradio but it does not find any radiostation.
If the software seemed to work, but no stations were found, then the problem may be the receiver sensitivity on the card, or signal strength from the target stations (which is two ways of saying the same thing, really). I have a TV card, for which I could run the software but which gave me no channels at all. To test if the problem was signal-related, I connected an X10 camera system. The result was that I could see the output of the camera on either channel 3 or channel 4 (the two output options for the X10 receiver), which told me that other signals for broadcast TV channels were simply not strong enough to be picked up by the lame little receiver on the Hollywood-clone TV card. Yours could be an equivalent problem with the radio receiver. I don't have cable, so I was hoping that I could use the broadcast signals that my household TVs were receiving with no problem, with just "rabbit-ear" set-top antennae. Other peple using the same card have reported success, but they were all using cable as their signal source. Try using cable as your input (if you aren't already), and if that is insufficient, try using an amplifier in front of the card's inputs. You can do that by getting something from your local electronics store, and then returning it for a refund if it doesn't work (so... don't buy anything that's marked "Final Sale"... :-) HTH /kevin
