I don't suppose you're looking for a new one?! :)
Sorry, no. What we *are* looking for is somebody junior who knows their way around Linux, and who would do a combination of PV (product verification) testing and scripting (mostly PERL and shell stuff, various platforms) for test automation. Half the time they'd be striving to find the elusive "show-stopper" bug :-). The other time, they'd be trying to automate the process. Currently we don't have the budget for two positions, so we think that only a junior person would value the exposure/experience while putting up with the demands of two different kinds of job in one. And they'd need to live in-or-near Ottawa, Canada. (Possibly not the most attractive proposition, as winter approaches... :-) Our previous "Mr. Linux", Macek Klimkowski, worked in a different department, where he was under-utilized. He got away before they could create a better position for him. Drat-the-luck. If you ever get the opportunity to work with him, enjoy the privilege. :-) /kevin
