I'm trying to setup the following under SuSE 8.1
Box1 ----/
shared scsi-subsytem
Box2 ----/
A better representation is at http://ocpdba.net/oracle9i_rac/files/Oracle9iRAC.png
I'm using Adaptec 2940 Ultra Wide Cards for the setup.
On Box1 the SCSI Card ID is set to 0
On Box2 the SCSI Card ID is set to 7
The drives in the shared scsi-box will use id's 1 through 6
I have gone past the aic7xxx.o problem (thanks Dan Am)
Questions:
=======
1) Has anyone done this successfully?
2) Are there any gotchas when doing this?
3) How do you power up this setup? I guess the SCSI disks first then Box1, then Box2?
4) Is there a howto on this out there?
5) Any advice in this endeavour is most welcome
many thanks
