The poster said that there are H.323 modules for 2.4.x kernels and provided a link to
http://www.netfilter.org/documentation/pomlist/pom-extra.html#h323-conntrack...
Has anyone made this work in SuSE? The info provided there is too cryptic for me. how can this be applied in SuSE using SuSE Firewall2?
I could be wrong but as far as I know the h323 modules have not yet merged to the official kernel and theer fore SuSEkernel does not have them. You can compile your kernel use the p-o-m and add the h323-contrack-nat module. This alone will not enable you to use the SuSEfirewall2 with h323 traffic passing. H323 is a nasty traffic with so many ports open and the openning ports are dynamic which means so many holes in the firewall. Your options are two folds in my opinion: a) Use 2.2.19 series where you have more application modules including h323 b) a better solution is to use application proxies for this specific application have a look at http://openh323proxy.sourceforge.net/ -- Togan Muftuoglu Unofficial SuSE FAQ Maintainer http://dinamizm.ath.cx
