I've been using SuSE 8.0 and KDE3 and KMail for a year. This morning, I booted after the weekend, got into KDE 3.0.4 with no problems, and then tried to start KMail. After some effort, the system responds with the you've-got-a problem dialog, saying that KMail has failed with signal 11 SIGSEGV.
~ maybe, you recently upgraded 2 kdelib3 packages ?
If 'yes', then go back to the previous kdelib3
Sorry for ignoring anybody... we had a 4-hour e-mail outage, here at the office. Anyway, if I "upgraded 2 kdelib3 packages", I did so without being aware... As I mentioned, my last YOU was 17 days ago, and I've been using KMail and booting in and out of SuSE, relentlessly throughout that time. On this system, I have used only YOU for keeping current, and I didn't install any software (no rpms, and no source packages during that time). So, I don't know when that might have happened. I'll try it regardless. Is there a faster/more direct way than using YaST2 to re-install anything that says "kdelib3" from CD, and then running YOU to update with more current versions? /kevin
