Hi A month ago I asked for some assistance from the list on getting this going, but the kind replies I got didn't help - most of them related to the earlier serial devices. After a bit more reading and experimenting, I have put together the attached note on how to get one of these going. Remaining issues are two, and I would be grateful for any pointers, which I can then add to the note: (1) You can use either the graphireusb or wacom drivers. Which is best? In my limited experience the graphireusb driver seems not to start properly sometimes. It complains that an invalid threshold has been set, and resets that to 0, which seems to prevent the pen and eraser working. Inserting Option "Threshold" "5" or Option "Threshold" "1" into the InputDevice sections for the pen and eraser works sometimes, but not always. So far, this hasn't happened with the wacom driver. (2) The tablet unfortunately does not seem to be hot-pluggable with the GIMP. On reinsertion, it is recognised OK by the system, but in the GIMP, although the tablet input devices are still listed, they are not operational. Logging in again and restarting GIMP leads to no devices at all being recognised. The only thing that allows the input devices to be seen again by the GIMP is a reboot! Pretty drastic. This may be a bug in the GIMP, or it may be something to do with the USB code in 8.0 - if I can get a USB system going with 8.1, I will test it. Best wishes Kevin
