Any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated. -----Original Message----- From: Manoj Sharma [mailto:sharma.manoj@rogers.com] Sent: Monday, November 04, 2002 11:25 PM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: FW: Suse Linux Installation Problems (XP machine) Importance: High Hi, While trying to install Suse Linux using a boot floppy disk, the installation process seems to hang while trying to load kernel profiles (46% complete). It prompts for an insert of the module1 disk but does not respond to the key press. I did wait for about 20 mins in case the process was timeconsuming. I have an XP installed on a Pentium 4. The installation instructions seem to assume that the installation process will allow the installer to type linux install=ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/8.1 at the boot prompt. The installation does not seem to be interrruptible and Im not sure if that is an issue. In either case any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Manoj. http://members.tripod.com/manoj_sharma0
