Hi,
recently I upgraded to SuSE 8.0. This one comes with XFree86 4.1.0 which should be able to use the 3d capabilities of my video card, an ATI Rage 128 pro. Still I can't run 3d packages like Tuxkart and so. I just upgraded to XFree86 4.2.0, but it still won't work. 3dconfig tells me I need to install xf86_glx, but I do not have that package, I can't install it with YaST2 as suggested. I have installed all the mesastuff, except for the -devel packages. In YaST, I can checkmark the box for 3d support, but every time when I get back there, it is removed again.
How do I get my computer to use the 3d capabilities of my video card?
