we have several servers at a colo facility, and it is located in Los Angeles, but I have a question, what happens if we need to load a RPM on those systems (example in this case would be webalizer, which is on the SuSE 8.0 CD's), now since the machines are there, and we are else where, how does one accomplish this feat?
You can just take the file from the CD and copy it with scp or sftp to the remote server. Then a SSH login as root will enable you to run the appropriate rpm command. I hope I'm not saying something obvious. If not, let me know and I will give you the details. - -- Thibaut Cousin E-mail : cousin@in2p3.fr Web : http://clrwww.in2p3.fr -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE9xqgIv1vqsTa1E4oRAl1iAJ9lMMuJJJ+YZmu9V6nBhyMjKrp5AwCfep7E /fKkGLBCZ46XAM2X3+7rm9c= =viaC -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
