Andy,
You broke the code! No one except Tom Eastep of Shorewall fame and John
Tapsell who does Masquerading made Simple Howto, will tell you that each
client machine must specify the DNS. Like you, I spent an inordinate amount
of time finding that out. If you really want to know how things work, read
both Tom's and John's Guide/Howto. Tom's is especially clear cause he uses
some neat graphics to help you visualize the process.
