One of those things. 8.1 is killing me while 7.3 was a smooth upgrade.

I got it to run for about 3 hours solid before it locked up again. I
have since reduced the AGP down to X2 and it is more stable than
resolutions lower than 1024 x 768. Anything higher would cause it to
freeze within minutes of starting to render an image. I managed to
render a whole 14 minutes of film the last time. Trying to do the whole
thing just resulting in another freeze with a lousy hour to go.
