Problem is solved. It was very simple. I work more and more on pure console mode and the screensaver has a tendancy to start very soon and ... to kill the burning process. It took me time to realise that the end of the burning process coincide with the start of the screensaver. Thank you for all your help. Thus when you burn a CDRom don't forget to deactivate the screensaver. Le mardi 22 octobre 2002, 08:14:14 ou environ Donn aka N5XWB a écrit:

On my Dell laptop I have a CD writer Till yesterday it worked perfectly well Yesterday impossible to write all my audio .cdr files on it. Curiously, the burning always stops during the writing of the eight track (coincidence I suppose)
Try a simulation run. If it suceed, problem might be hardware.
Have you changed media trademark?

The drive may have suffered a mechanical problem. Will it read a CD?
