Ok, did a clean install of 8.1. However, I am all but sure I formatted all
the drives and renamed the partitions. When I went into my /home/<user>
directory I was surprised to see that all the previous files and directories
were still in place.

Now, I might have forgotten to tell it to format the /home partition, and then
also got lucky and chose the same partition that /home was on in the previous
8.0 version, or does the install now have a function of saving current user
data and re-installing it? I'm not sure, but doubt that the user data was
saved and reinstalled.

So, my question. Can I delete/remove my users account and recreate it (as
root of course) and be assured that the previous /home/<user> directory will
be deleted/overwritten? I would like to start fresh since some of the things
in the previous (and now present) user account/directory are left over
configs and preferences from the old 8.0 account. I would like to use the
same user name and password.

TIA, Curtis
