How is the 7.3 root KDE desktop protected ?
I'm not sure I understand the question. It's protected by a standard unix password hash, as well as by standard unix style file permissions. Aside from this there is no special protection for kde. It's the same protection all config files in root's home directory have. By the way, you shouldn't log in and work as root. It's a disaster waiting to happen. Anders
