I'm attempting to set up several services; ftpd and imapd via inetd or xinted. Neither inetd or xinetd will come up. It appears there is no working skeleton config for either or am I misssing something ?
You must be. If you have inetd installed you should have /etc/inetd.conf. There's nothing enabled by default, but once you've edited it to enable the services you want to provide, "rcinetd start" should start the daemon. Use "insserv inetd" to make it start at bootup. Similarly, if you have xinetd installed you should have /etc/xinetd.conf Anders
