SuSE 8.1 personal, new install.

KPPP is configured properly for my ISP. Dial-up modem.
Upon clicking on KPPP it starts and dials the phone number. Upon
connecting, it dies.
The first time, the error log that pops up, stated that it could not
open options file '/etc/ppp/peers/kppp'. I created a text file to
correct this. It also had in the messages log, and every time since,
stated 'pppd unrecognized option 'passwordfd'. I do not know where this
option is coming from. I believe this is what is causing KPPP to die. I
have my ISP user name and password properly indicated in the KPPP setup.

I have never had any problems with KPPP in previously versions of SuSE.

Make sure you have the following contents in the file /etc/ppp/peers/kpp:

plugin passwordfd.so

That should fix it. If it does, maybe reply to the list with a [Solved] to help Togan with his rowing. ;-)
