loss mouse

While attempting to run quake3 the computer did a hard crash, upon rebooting
my mouse no longer works. I tried using YaST Graphic and Card Monitor to
reconfigure the mouse without any luck. My Hardware includes a standard ps2
mouse, ATI 7500 Radeon video card, and Orion monitor. Any suggestions on how
to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
