When I did "which mc" it just returned a blank. It got me worried so I rebooted and it works now, but why would something like that even occur?
Because Togan was right. mc by default in SuSE is a shell function that does a few things more than just start mc.
type which which is aliased to `type -p'
and from the bash man page If the -p option is used, type either returns the name of the disk file that would be executed if name were specified as a command name, or nothing if ``type -t name'' would not return file. So in general: don't use which. Use "type" instead. //Anders -- 'Deserves [death]. I daresay he does. Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them?
