Thank you Susan, Steve and Bogdan. Each of you have contributed to my success in geting started with apache - which row runs and starts on my PC after a Linux reboot. I have done some work with ASP on IIS but am now looking forward to trying out apache & PHP on Linux. I no longer have that other O/S on my PC - and don't miss it! Warren
