Hmmm. Mine was already set to that, so my problem was different. I use the past tense because the problem was solved by moving the old XF86Config file to one side, then running 8.1's sax2. This has generated a XF86Config which works correctly, although the only difference in the mouse section is that emulate 3 buttons is now turned on. Most odd. But the problem has gone away, so that's OK. :o)
I've long been convinced that that particular problem is pure magic :) I've seen it go away simply by editing a comment line in the config file and re-saving. There's something very screwy going on. //Anders
