What I did, was simply ran through a normal install where the Promise 
controller is setup with a Mirror (RAID1)... after creating the 
partitions on the detected RAID device, /dev/ataraid/d0, installed the 
software and the got the typical "LI" when the system tried to reboot. 
I then boot from the CDROM, and selected "boot installed OS".  Once the 
machine was running, I added the following entry to lilo.conf:

disk    = /dev/ataraid/d0
       bios = 0x80

then re-ran lilo and rebooted.  Mine works great.
