I have a Haupage TV-card and a Creative USB web-cam.
Before I connected the web-cam xwatv and motv worked just fine.
After connecting the web cam and rebooting the TV programs have no options for the TV card only for the camera.
What do I have to do to be able to use both?
I know it's probably something to do with /dev/video but I don't want to muck about with it without knowing what I'm doing.
Sounds like both devices are working correctly, so it's just a matter of pointing at the right device file. One device will end up on /dev/video0 and other other will end up on /dev/video1. /dev/video is a link to /dev/video0, so you'll only ever see one device through that. "cat /proc/video" (or something like that) should show you the devices connected to the video subsystem With xawtv I seem to remember that you add "-c /dev/videoX" to the command line in order to point it at the device you want. You might want to check that. Sorry to be a bit vague, but I'm away from my video enabled box right now and can't check things myself. -- The past: Smart users in front of dumb terminals
