Hi,
I am by no means an expert and I don't want to speak for SuSE, but I
think hey chose it because reiserfs has a proven track record on SuSE.
ext3 also isn't 100% stable from what I understand and therefore hasn't
proven itself so to speak.
I may be completely off the bus here so please don't 'flame' me.
