Hello list participants,
I would like to startup a program/process/job (description ?) automatically when the machine is booted up. What file needs to be modified to do that?
boot.local
I tried rc.config by way of yast2 but it did not do any good. The script calls several scripts and programs which are all in the same directory. I can manually start the job when I am in that directory. Accordingly, it seems to me, a path needs to be defined. Which file needs to be modified to define the path?
The script that you put in boot local, should have as it's first line
#!/bin/sh cd 'directory-with-scripts' #to cd to the directory myscript #to run the script
