Gameport on an Ensoniq Soundblaster PCI128.
Thanks, Tom
The file will be either /etc/asound.state or /etc/asound.conf (depending on which version of ALSA you're running). There's a boolean option to turn on the joystick. If it's false, change it to true, save the file and execute: $ alsactl store # to save the changes $ alsactl restore # to re-load the changes Then, you should be able to load a joystick driver. Mine's a sidewinder, so I just do: $ modprobe -a sidewinder and it's ready to go. If you configure your sound card with YaST2, I believe there's a section to enable and choose joystick models, but I'm not certain about that.
