with a cdrw disk in the windows world you do have drag an drop but only on the cdrw disk not cdr.

Drag drop won't do it. A CDROM needs all files to be burnt to it in a single
session, or batches of files in a multisession disk (software option).

There are quite a few software packages available in Linux to put files on
CDROMs. My personal preference is XCDRoast... mostly because it has been
very reliable, and I don't need to do any fiddling to make it work. It just
worked out of the box with SuSE7.3 and 8.0.

By the way, it's not a dumb question if you have never used a CD-RW before.

Take a look at:

Luke 4:18-19
"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,
to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."
(NIV)
