I've used apt-get to update my Linux box in the office since I did a
fresh install of 8.0 on it. It works like a charm. I had to install the
LaTeX pkgs from 7.3 onto 8.0 because the version of LaTeX wasn't working
right with muttprint and I have apt ignore those packages when upgrading
and it hasn't screwed up yet. I've had very good luck upgrading KDE from
3.0 to 3.0.1 ..etc..etc. I REALLY wish SuSE would switch over to this.
It would make a really good YaST2 module..and that would be nice because
you could either use YaST2, Synaptic or just the good ole commandline.
*grin*
Cheers!
