Does anyone know if there is a (control) file which controls the colour (colour/brightness/gamma) settings of the monitor under SuSE/Linux? Under Windows there are *.icm files (in directory x://windows/system/color/ ) one of which is used by the monitor (/Desktop/Properties/Settings/Advanced/Color Management/) as the default colour setting. I play around with photos so use the same *.icm on both my systems (the Main and the Testbed) so that I always look at the photos at the same colour/brightness/gamma setting. I had thought that GIMP would have the same type of facility of adjusting the colour setting but I cannot see it (and will be contacting the Gimp author about this) so thought that I could at least come close to my current settings in Windows by "fiddling" with a control file in SuSE but obviously haven't looked in the right place on the SDB to find a reference to such a file. Can anyone help on this matter? Cheers.
