Howdy ya!
If I ssh into a machine, can I somehow mount that machine to my system in order to on on it as if it were a local machine?
Here's my goal...I use ACT! contact manager under Crossover Office at my office. My thought is to ssh into my work system, then mount my work machine so that I can access the database at my office and work on it from home.
One option for you is to use -X when you ssh. Then you can run programs on your office machine and get the graphical displays on your home machine. This won't run fast by any means, although I was able to ssh into my home machine from work and run xawtv remotely :) You can get work done but you'll probably need patience. regards Anders -- 'Deserves [death].
