Is this gears at full screen or a window? If a window, then the hardware acceleration is not working. If full screen, then you are prolly ok.
In the "Learn something new every day" department, did I just learn that hardware 3D acceleration is applied only to full-screen?
If you did you should un-learn it tout suite :) The point is that if the numbers presented was produced when running in full-screen mode, then they are reasonable for hardware acceleration, while if it was run in windowed mode they are far too low. In full screen mode you can't get as many frames per second as you can in a window, there are just that many more pixels to update. //Anders -- `When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, `it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less.'
