I am considering a Linksys Access point WAP11 and a PCMCIA card for a notebook to connect to a Lan which will have SuSE V8 on at least one PC and a couple of NT4 machines.
I am using the Linksys WAP11 and the Linksys WPC11 with SuSE V8.0 on my laptop with no problems related to Linux. If you get the WAP11, you need the firmware upgrade version 1.01c or you will get lockups with WEP enabled. You can tftp the upgrade into the WAP11 from Linux - its quite easy. In my house, the range of this combination seems limited, and no, I don't live in a mansion. :-) Later, Andy -- Andy Stewart, Founder Worcester Linux Users' Group Worcester, MA USA http://www.wlug.org
