OK, now I'm really puzzled. The kernel updates directory on suse's ftp server has four files for the kernel I want to upgrade: k_deflt.rpm, which appears to contain the actual kernel files and kernel-source.rpm which contains the sources - those I understand. There's also kernel-source.nosrc.rpm, which contains a small number of bzipped archives, like linux.tar.bz2, patches.tar.bz2 and so on. The name confuses me - a source rpm with "nosrc"? Also the size: it's a quarter of the size of the kernel-source.rpm file? What does it do? Also, there's k_deflt.src.rpm, which is only about 100K, and contains a config.default.ikr file. What's that for? Explanations gratefully received by an addled brain... -- 12:21pm up 9 days, 3:00, 1 user, load average: 0.10, 0.03, 0.01
