If it works fine as a printserver I would let it be; to upgrade this to
8.0 -or most anything else- you would have to do a fresh install -and
with 8.0 you will have to use yast2 to set this up (which may be harder
if you are not used to it).

Hello list.
I am wondering how to upgrade Linux. I am using Suse Linux 7.0 Professional and would like to upgrade to a newer version (newer is better correct?). Can this be done without allot of headaches. Is it recommended to upgrade by sequential version numbers? I have a dual processor Proliant 850R that I am using as a print server for our Macintosh and PC clients and do not want to disrupt printing services for an extended period. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.
