What happening that I'm trying to follow the INSTALL file for
instructions on howto get the
wireless package installed, but "make" or "make install" will not work
as there is no
make file in the /usr/local/wireless_tools.24/

I'm getting confused then following the rest of the INSTALL on howto do
this manually.

But I've cp the *8 files into the man dir.

Placed the wireless.14.h into /usr/include/

Now stuck at what todo next?

I'm using SUSE 8.0 virgin install...

The Wireless adapter is

cardctrl ident
Socket 0:
product info: "NETGEAR M401 Wireless PC", "Card", "Version 01.00, ""
manfid: 0x156, 0x0002
function: 6 (network)

Works for me.

Could you be a little more specific about the errors you're getting?
