Help! I've lost my Evolution... It always worked perfectly fine but now attempt to start it produces a message: "cannot initialize the Ximian evolution shell:Configuration Database not found" (in fact I also get this message when I start my KDE session). And when I try to start Evolution from the Konsole I get this message: "evolution-shell-WARNING **: Cannot access Bonobo/ConfigDatabase on wombat: (IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0) I have two systems (neither of which is called "wombat"!) on my LAN. They both run SuSE 8.0, and the same version of Evolution: 1.0.8 from usr-bin-org. To keep them in sync, I usually just copy the entire evolution folder from my home directory on one system to the other. This is what I just did. It always worked - until today that is. Before copying anything I always make a backup of the current version, but it didn't help much - even after I restored the original, the problem persists with the same error messages. Yesterday I run apt-get upgrade which updated a lot of gnome stuff... although Evolution did work earlier today, after apt-get upgrade, but before I copied that folder Any ideas? --------------------------------------------------------------------- "The earth has enough for everyone's needs, but not for some people's greed." - Gandhi -- 2:20pm up 7 days, 4:44, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00--
