Preferably, software to do that would accept options such as NT/2K/XP,
NTFS4/NTFS5 (and more), and know details which might even violate Microsoft
non-disclosure terms. Microsoft could make NTFS a superior file system for
inter-operation between their OS and linux; evidently they have reasons for
not doing so.
