Hi list,
I have Windows 2000 successfully installed on my first IDE disk but cant
seem to get linux installed on the second IDE disk. The set-up I'm trying
for is described in :
http://www.mastincrosbie.com/mark/linux-ob6k/win2k.html
Basically I'd like to add an entry to the Windows boot loader which points
to LILO which will allow me to boot linux.
Unfortunately, I am unable to install Suse 7.1 on the second disk. My
system config is :
Dell Dimension 1.7 GHz
Disk A 20GB IDE
Disk B 120GB IDE Deskstar
1GB RAM
Symptoms are when I do a default or minimal install on Disk B, (which Suse
detects nicely), I am unable to make a working boot disk. The install says
it has written to the disk but when I try and boot from it, I get a series
of "07 07 07 07 ..." across my screen.
Any ideas anyone ?
TIA
Pete
