Having, let's say, a dir called /mp3 full with say 10 .MP3 files, how do I get information on how long the tracks are each (meaning in minutes and seconds) and also a summary on the total length of these 10 files (also mins and secs).
How do I do that from the *console* ?
Hope there is a solution, do not want to run X11+XMMS for this small thing all the time.
If you have 8.0 there are some console based mp3 players. Even previous versions of SuSE had these these as well. mp3blast comes to mind.

Run with what option? I have now tried it, but I cannot see what option to use for mins-secs display and a summary BTW your address cannot be resolved. -- *º¤., ¸¸,.¤º*¨¨¨*¤ =Oliver@home= *º¤., ¸¸,.¤º*¨¨*¤ I http://www.bmw-roadster.de/Friends/Olli/olli.html I I http://www.bmw-roadster.de/Friends/friends.html I I http://groups.yahoo.com/group/VGAP-93 I I mailto:VGAP-93-subscribe@yahoogroups.com I I http://home.t-online.de/home/spacecraft.portal I
