Problem: Locate does not exist (I was using Bash). Should it have been installed when I installed SuSE 8.0 or do I need to track it down and load it?
Thanks! doc ====================
What's Up Doc! Sorry could not resist that Bugs Bunny phrase! ;o) Yes you have to install it manually, it doesn't install by default in SuSE 8.0 for reasons already discussed here earlier. Be sure to check your cron files though as the updatedb is set to run daily about 12:15 am and pretty much locks down the computer until it finishes.
