Togan, thanks for your reply. One more confusion
though:
Should I "rpm -i" to install it or "rpm -U" to update
it? After I overwrite the origianl one, could I
restore it to the original one by using Yast2?
Or even better could I have two versoin of glibc?

In your CD/DVD set look for the unsupported directory what you want is prebuilt as an rpm
