Well, although it's nice to use cron etries, the same goal can be completed by using xntpd. There is also an option in rc.config (/etc/sysconfig/xntpd in 8.0) to have an ntpdate run when the box boots up. I use this setup on all of my servers to keep time synced up.
Hope this helps! Donavan Pantke
Thanks Donavan! It did help. I went to /etc/sysconfig/xntpd and set to auto and then went to /etc/ntpd.conf and put in the server I wish to use. I tested the setup and it did work as you suggested. -- Bob Barish B.M.T Solutions http://www.bmtsolutions.com 1:31pm up 5 min, 2 users, load average: 0.22, 0.33, 0.17
