I do have that setting.  I made that change some time ago, and it seems
to have worked, but tonight the machine is being particularly stubborn.

It seems to be jinxed.  Now it wont shutdown also.  I have to remove teh
battery and power.

It worked perfectly fine today at work and I did not make any changes to
the system....
