I have recently been trying to get YaST2 Online Update working and can't
I was there as well <g>
HTTP_PROXY="http://192.168.1.1:3128" FTP_PROXY="http://192.168.1.1:3128"
Is port 3128 your http proxy? My system uses 80 and I am getting some success <g> I added the settings in /etc/wgetrc and then the download of the list of servers happened, but I gather from various sources that YOU simply will not!
Does anyone actually know for sure exactly where it these applications (any of them) get their proxy connection info from and exactly what format that configuration info can or should take (like I say my home proxy is based on IP and port).
I have downloaded fou4s, and at the moment it seems to be doing the job. I still have the wgetrc settings in place, but understand that the HTTP_PROXY and FTP_PROXY are being used.
