I have just installed version 8.0, but I see some bugs in some of the packages in KDE. I want to upgrade KDE to the newer version, since I am sure that some of the bugs are fixed in it.
1. What is the easiest way to download all the files at once, instead of each one seperately?
I've found the best GUI ftp client for SuSE is gftp. I think it's included in the GNOME stuff in case you haven't got that installed. (It's a gtk app that works fine under KDE.) Just select each package individually a-la Windows with a control-click for adding individual packages and shift-click to select a range, then once you're done selecting click on the transfer button to move it from the site to a local directory. Of course, if you want to download *everything* in a directory "mget *" in a command-line ftp client will work fine. :-)
2. What order do they have to be installed?
First the base stuff, then development, then applications. Run SuSEconfig after each one. See the unofficial SuSE FAQ for details. -- It is against the law for a monster to enter the corporate limits of Urbana, Illinois.
